Third Marking period (21-28)

Using  Sketch up, i was able to explore using the shape and pencil tool to create these three shapes. Using the pencil tool i was able to create the triangle. Then, with the square tool and circle tool i made the others.
I was also able to make 3D shapes using the "Push/Pull" tool. I created the same shapes, using the same tools as i did in the first image. Then, i just "Pulled" the image out to easily make it 3D.

Finally, I was able to write out my name in 3D bubble letters. i used the pencil tool to write out my name. Then, i used the "Push/Pull" tool to make each letter 3D.
Block one Full dimension:  8'x5'x5'

Block two dimension: 8'x5'x5'

Block three dimension: 9'x4'x6'

Block Four dimension: 7'x6'x4'

Block Five dimension: 8'x5'x5'

Block six dimension: 8'x5'x6'

Block Seven dimension: 8'x5'x6'

Block Eight dimesnion: 8'x5'x6'

Block Nine dimension: 9'x4'x6'

Block Ten dimension: 11'x3'x6'

Block Eleven dimension: 8'x5'x6'

Block Twelve dimension: 9'x4'x6'
Task 22
To do this assignment, overall you first had to make a rectangle with the right dimensions of length, width and then height (LxWxH). . To get the dimension correctly measured, I used the measuring tape tool to measure each side and "Pull/Push" each side. Then, i looked at the diagram to find the correct lengths for the cuts. Using the measuring tape tool, i measured where the cut would be located and used the "Push/Pull" tool to cute the rectangle.

Quiz: Block #1
I picked Block #1 as my quiz. The basic dimensions were 9x6x5 ( Length x width x height) . To make my blog, i measured 5' on the bottom of the block on the x-axis. Then, i measured 3' on the top , on the x-axis. I connected both points and pushed it in 2'. I did this for both sides of the block to give it a T- formation. Then, i measured 4' on the top of my block, starting from the top portion of my new point. i connected this point to the bottom of my block and pushed the piece off to give it a slant front look. Then i used the bucket to add color and added the dimensions.

task#23 Bungalow:
To Create this Bungalow, first I created a box with lengths 14.5'x9.75'x10.75' (x-axis by y-axis by z-axis). I used the "Push/Pull" button to make the rectangle 3D. Then using the compass tool, i created a line on the top right side of my scare (x-axis) that was 60 degrees. on top of it, i made 1.75' straight line and connected it to the box to create the roof of my BUNGALOW. Then, i created 4' frames for my sliding doors and windows. The sliding door had a 2' indent and the window had a 1' indent. (Front view). Then, for the side view i created a rectangle with a 1' indent on each side. I divided it into four and did the same steps as i did for the first window. Using rectangles, i created my fence and my deck. Then using the bucket, i was able to color it.
Task#24
To give my Bungalow a 3D effect, first i opened my background image on Photoshop. Then, i opened the image of my Bungalow onto the image. I made a copy of the layer and turned off the "Blue and green" channels. Then, i positioned this image slightly to the left from the original. For the original, i unchecked the Red channel.
Task#25
I created a elipse, and added different effects to it. Then, i made a copy of the image and cleared the layer effects. I created the Aluminum effect by adding a noise effect to the middle of my button. Using Radial blur, i was able to give it a circular effect. I added the power symbol afterwords. I added style effects to the image. Making a copy of the power button, i gave the image an Orange effect.Afterwards, i added animation to the button to give it it's glowing effect. I saved the image as a GIF.
GIF stands for  "Graphics Interchange Format - Picture Format" Saving an image as a gif, saves all data of an image. It is also used, because it saves images with animation .
Task#26 (Part 1)
To complete this assignment, i used basic tools like the Rectangle tool, the Rectangle Marquee tool, the bucket (fill), turned on the snap option, and the rulers.
Task#26 Part 2 : I finished by adding lights ( using Glow effects). Finally, i added the pictures to showcase Omar :).

Task #27: Going back to Publisher, i created a brochure with information on my 2013-2014 high school schedule.

Marking Period 2 (11-20)

Using Photoshop, I created a Gradient background using Linear gradient. For the title (ASPIRA) of my flyer, I used the "Glass text" effect. For the second text, i used the "Plastic Text" effect. The last text effect i used was the "Photo-filled" effect for the fourth text in my flyer. Then, I added Graphics to decorate my finished flyer.

I chose a texture design and a dress off of Google and opened it on Adobe Photoshop. Following instructions from the tutorial website, I was able to apply the texture onto my dress to give it a new design. Finally, i made the document into a canvas size to create a before and after image.

To do this assignment, i opened a new document on Photoshop and created a Liner Gradient background. The original poster used a solid background. Second, I got a picture of fries and another picture of celery off of the internet. Using the Magnetic Lasso Tool, I deleted the french fries off of the image and replaced it with the image of the celery. I used the outer glow in the blending options to make my image stand out. Finally, i placed information about celery on my poster.
The NYC FOOD BANK Logo was used solely for educational purpose. No Copy Right infringement was intended.

On Photoshop I used Displacement Maps to create a painted effect look on a brick wall.Adding a blur filter to the brick layer ( my background layer) and changing the opacity of the layer, i was able to create this image.

Still using Displacement maps, I was able to do a selfie "painted" effect. After placing the flag over the picture, I used the eraser tool to delete any parts of her face that i did not want painted. Doing this, I was able to create a 3-D effect.

Using smart filter i was able to create a motion blur. Smart filter was used because it is an easier way to apply filters to an image. It is quicker than using a normal filter. Using the mask thumbnail and the brush tool, I applied the blur to the section on the image desired.

Quick masking is an easier way to select a part of an image. Using marquees or the lasso tool takes a longer time to select the exact portion. With Quick masking, you can just color over the part you want to select. Doing this, i was able to change the eye color of this image. I selected the eye portion, then i used the paint bucket tool to fill in the color of my choice.

To create this image, First i converted the image to Smart Filter. Then I added the Gaussian Blur Filter to the image. Then i selected the screen view. Then i added a layer mask and using the Brush Tool i selected the airbrush thumbnail to paint over the important features of the image. This features did not have the Soft skin effect.
Using Adobe Illustrator i was able to create a USB Drive. I used the different shape tools to create the shape of my Drive. Also, i used Gradient Fill to add color to my assignment.

By using Adobe Illustrator, i was able to write out my name using "Bubble Letters". I used the different shape and line tools to spell out my name. Then, i used the 'unite' tool to merge all the shapes into creating each letter of my last name. After writing my name i used the same tools to decorate my artwork.
Here i practiced using the Minus Front and Divide tool. I created different shapes by doing this.

Day 1: I did the first 6 steps to make the background of my phone.
Day 2: Going up to step 14, I was able to create the screen of my phone. As well, I created the two buttons below the screen.
Day 3: Next, I created and accessorized all of the buttons on my phone;
Adding symbols. (Step 15-23)
Day  4: Then, i created the number buttons for the phone. I also added the numbers and letters for each number. (Step 24-28)
Day 5: Finally, I created the receiver , by using the Gradient Mesh tool and the speaker of my phone, to finish my image.

Overall Summary
In this marking period, i learned how to create a Flyer out of scratch using the 5 W's and Adobe Photoshop. I was also able to 'design' my own clothing by adding a texture layer to a dress image i found online. Using Photoshop, I was able to mimic a Food Bank poster and design my own. I learned how to use Face Displacement to apply a flag painted affected on any image. Also on Photoshop, I was able to use Motion Blur to give an image the 3D moving effect. Quick Masking was a very efficient tool on Photoshop. It was an essay way to apply an effect, like different eye color, on any desired image. Soft Filter, is a great filter tool that keeps focus on main features of an image but gives the rest of the image a 'perfect' view and nice glowing touch. I also learned how to use Adobe Illustrator to create realistic items like a USB and a cordless phone. I learned how to use the different Pathfinder tools like "Minus front", "Unite" and "Divide" to create images out of simple shapes.
